A week of healing at Lylis Sanctuary, Antibes
The moment I stepped through the green gates of Lylis Sanctuary in Antibes, I felt as though I wasn’t just entering a retreat - I was stepping out of time.
Before I could even catch my breath from the long journey, Magali - the sanctuary’s radiant guardian and visionary - whisked my suitcase onto a golf cart with a twinkle in her eye and a gentle nudge.
“You walk. The path will show you the way.” And so, I walked.
Winding through olive trees, I heard a rooster call across the silence, welcoming me. The world didn’t disappear, but it softened. My breath slowed, and I came to realise that I was truly walking on sacred ground.
Our days began with yoga and breath, followed by teachings in the art of Ayurveda from Sunita of Tri-Dosha. We were also nourished wonderfully by a private chef, who made meals filled with colour, flavour, and intention.
One afternoon, I relaxed into a pendulum-swinging chair suspended between earth and sky. As I swayed, something in me cracked open, and I laughed and cried. At that moment, I realised that release isn’t always about sorrow. Sometimes it’s about making space for peace, joy, and yourself.
I also had a wonderful alignment session with Magali, which was energy work and soul excavation. It made me realise who I am and what I carry. Since returning, I’ve found myself not only reflecting but also integrating. That week didn’t stay in Antibes; it became part of me, and now part of Hyp Thérapie.
I’ve begun to gently weave some of that sanctuary magic into my own space. Small rituals, thoughtful touches, and sacred pauses now live between the treatments - because healing isn’t only about what happens on the couch, but how we arrive, how we release, and how we return to ourselves.
This includes a grounding moment before your session of sounding the bell, taking an intentional breath, and choosing an affirmation to anchor your arrival. I have also created a sensory shift in the space, with scents, sounds, and textures carefully chosen to help you settle more deeply into yourself. Plus, there are new offerings inspired by alignment and identity work - gentle invitations for when you’re ready to step more fully into your truth.
I suppose what I’m creating is less of a salon and more of a soft place to land. This isn’t a full retreat - yet - but it’s the beginning of something deeper. A sanctuary, in small, intentional doses. And I’m honoured to hold that space for you.
